Spirit Week is coming!
Dear Friends,
We did a lot of activities in the rain yesterday and in the bright sun today. Thanks to everyone for their participation and especially to our staff for their careful planning and enthusiastic leading of the Class Retreats. I hope everyone found at least one new idea or connection to consider—whether it be the significance of Maryland history, a college choice, a fun person to talk to, a flavor of apple or a new activity to enjoy. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to some rest this weekend.
Come Monday with all your Spirit. The SGA has planned a week of activities leading up to Saturday’s Homecoming Dance. (see details below) We also have two soccer games this week, one home and one away. We are looking forward to cheering everyone.
We have classes for parents too! Come see the first episode of our seven part Parent Education Series geared toward parents of teenagers. Each Zoom meeting (noraschool.org/parenteducation) allows for professional presenters to share their expertise and also time for questions from you. We do open these presentations to the public, so they too can have a window into the support we offer at The Nora School.
PSAT practice booklets went home with students last week. It has practice tests and sample problems for those who want to put in some preparation before Tuesday, Oct. 25th, our PSAT test day.
We hope to see many students at the big dance next Saturday!
Peace,
Mara
