The Arts at Nora

Dear Friends,

The arts feature prominently in our program this month. Last week students in the Music Performance class had the very special opportunity to visit a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR. Students got a tour of the studio, met the hosts and performer, and attended the show. Students spoke very highly of the performance and had a great time.

This weekend, 300 photos from 14 schools in our area were submitted to our Annual Photography Festival. I hope you will come see these amazing photos at Nora Saturday morning. The exhibit opens at 10:30AM. At 11:00AM there is a photography workshop for students. The Awards Ceremony featuring prized photographs begins at noon. Come early. It’s all over before 12:30PM. See you there!

This week we will travel by metro to The Atlas Performing Arts Center to see a musical from the Mosaic Theater Company: “The Young John Lewis: Prodigy of Protest.” We will depart from school and return after the play. We expect to be back at 2:30PM.
