Team Communication with Your Teen: Family Strategies for Changing Attitudes (Virtual only, RSVP Required)

Behavior is communication (even in teens). Key strategies and skills in talking with your teen will be addressed in this live, virtual presentation and will focus on developing a team approach. We’ll talk about understanding family dynamics with techniques for parents to instill values and goals without being (or appearing) judgmental.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Gabriele Nicolet, MA, CCC-SLP

Gabriele speaks widely on relationships and family communications, and has published articles on bilingualism and child development. With over 20 years of experience working with families and children with speech and language difficulties and special needs (aka, Orchid Kids), Gabriel takes a relationship-based approach to all of her clients.  Gabriele is the owner of Speechkids.com and is the host of the Complicated Kids Podcast.  She works with families locally in the Washington DC metro area and across the country and has helped hundreds of families improve their children’s communication skills and recover their parenting joy. 

Gabriele received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Gabriele is the former Chair of the District of Columbia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. She is licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and is a member of the American Hearing and Speech Association (ASHA). Gabriele lives in Washington, DC with her family.
