Hiding in plain sight: Autistic students who camouflage (Virtual only, RSVP Required)

We now know that 1 out of every 36 people is autistic – that’s about one child in every classroom! However, many bright autistic students are not recognized or diagnosed, because they camouflage and blend in well with non-autistic students. Recent research suggests that there are still significant numbers of undiagnosed autistics and that accurate diagnosis can be lifechanging for these individuals and their families. However, many parents, educators, and clinicians continue to rely on an outdated understanding of autism. This presentation will help parents and educators understand how to recognize bright autistic students who camouflage.

With Donna Henderson, Psy.D. Clinical neuropsychologist and co-author of Is This Autism? A guide for clinicians and everyone else

This virtual presentation is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.
