Philosophical and Ethical Decision Making…on the life boat

Dear Friends,

  • Theodra Washington, CEP, returns to our Parent Education Series on Wednesday evening @ 7:00pm, to share how parents can care for themselves and manage their own stress in way that supports their own parenting of teenagers. Link to meeting here.

  • There is a long tradition at Nora of a one day ski trip to Pennsylvania for a day of fun in the snow. This is a wonderful way to continue our Celebration of Winter. The trip is scheduled for Friday, February 18. We will go if we have 10 or more interested skiers/snowboarders. Sign up to express interest on the Student Life Bulletin Board.

  • For those of you that were not able to join us on Tuesday, we had a useful discussion regarding how we time and consider adjusting the protocols we’ve adopted through the long pandemic. We discussed how vaccines and natural immunity have changed the scenario. And it is clear that new variants, re-infection, and waning immunity are still cause for concern. Overall, the sense from those in attendance at the meeting, was that students are very comfortable with the protocols in place and there is enough uncertainty to warrant against making changes soon. However, we agreed that it there is time and we can continue to come back to small steps we can take together in the coming months.

  • In another follow up to a previous meeting, we will hold a Parent Social Hour on February 23 starting around 5:30pm (late arrivals welcome). Marcia will gather RSVP’s and get the event started, and then the rest is up to our parents. Please see details below.
