Festival Days

Dear Friends,

A word of thanks to all who made our Photography Festival possible. Thanks to the students, and the photography teachers who supported them, for entering photos into the Festival. We had 200 entries from over 10 public and independent schools in Maryland and DC. Thanks to our three independent judges who reviewed and evaluated all the photos, selecting award and prize winners. Congratulations to our own Adam (Class of 2022) for his first place award in Black and White photography.

We are especially grateful to Dave Mullen for organizing, recording and presenting our workshops Saturday morning for our young photographers. Students practiced with art apps that make phone camera snapshots more artistic and learned about how to become a professional photographer. Special thanks to Chrissy, Pixie, Norman, and Brennan for all the work they did to prepare for the exhibit. And last, but not least, HUGE thanks to Marcia Miller and Christina Mullen who Chair the event. Without their enthusiasm and organization this event would not be possible.
