Dear Friends,
This morning in math classes students made presentations about someone they discovered on their field trip to this Smithsonian Exhibit: “#IfThenSheCan - The Exhibit,” a collection of 120 statues of women in STEM. On display in Smithsonian gardens and in and around select Smithsonian museums March 5–27, the exhibit is the largest collection of statues of women ever assembled together.” It’s not too late if you want to explore it yourself AND see the cherry trees in full bloom.
Tuesday’s with Mara resumes this month at 6:00 pm (see link below or on the school calendar). We will take time to talk through important fourth quarter considerations for Seniors readying for graduation, answer lingering questions about Intersession sign-ups and review how our Mask Optional days are going. I look forward to seeing you online.
The link to our school calendar has changed, so if you’re looking for specific dates, like graduation or intersession, you can find them here: norapride.org/portal
We begin accepting entries to our Annual Photography Festival the day after prom! (See details below the Weekly Calendar) This Festival is an opportunity for students all over the DMV to have their photographs exhibited at The Nora School and judged by professional photographers. The deadline for entry is April 19. Seize this fun opportunity or just join us on April 30 for the Exhibit, Workshops and Awards Ceremony.
April is just around the corner, no fooling!
Peace,
Mara
