A Peek into Intersession

Outdoor Adventure: Old Rag, VA

Dear Friends,

We returned from Intersession with wonderful stories of adventure, connection and learning. Students presented their experiences to the the school at an assembly on Monday afternoon. It was amazing to hear and see the product of a week of in-depth studies. We learned a lot about the world and each other. 🗺️💖

Social Justice Travel: Selma, AL

We have a few special programs coming up to celebrate students. On Thursday, May 18 we will have a small ceremony for students who will become a part of our National Honor Society.

Humans relationship with Nature: Assateague Island, MD

Here is a chance to come see the wonderful artwork our students created over the school year. We are having an art showcase and ice cream social. Art will be on display in the main hall, ice cream will be served on the front lawn, and this also a chance to welcome new families for next year to Nora! We hope to see you there. 🍦

Studies in Surrealism: Silver Spring, MD

We will prepare for final exams, ongoing, and in earnest May 30-June 2. Juniors and Seniors will have one fewer days of exam review, and will be away from school on June 2. Juniors will take a class retreat to George Washington University and Seniors will have a day of fun at Six Flags Amusement Park.

Social Justice Travel: Tulsa, OK

This is a wonderful and exciting time of year, and classes are still in session. We have an overflowing Overtime with many students missing assignments here and there in their classes. Please help them continue to work on their homework in this busy time! Thank you.
