Here we go…

(L to R: Brennan, Marcia, Christina, Nisaa, Leslie, Scott, Roberto, Mara, Pixie, Terah, Norman, Darrell, Chrissy, and Chris)

Dear Friends,

The terrific team pictured above (Nora Full-Time Staff) spent the week preparing for the coming school year. We had a great time and are eager to meet all our students on Monday at 8:45!

New students will gather upstairs in the Seminar Room and returning students will gather in the Main Hall. We will hand out schedules (not your own-you’ll see why when you get here) and hear about the plan for the day. We will provide pizza for lunch and dismiss at 2:45.

We have many ways to communicate with you throughout the year. Please join our Google Calendar to see scheduled half days, Community Service Days, vacations, and big school events.

You can talk with me via Google Meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month. The link is provided below in the weekly schedule of events that is always a part of this weekly newsletter.

You will also be able to access your child’s grades, the school directory, and more on our BRAND NEW system. We are no longer using Plus Portals. We will provide you instructions for logging into FACTS Family Portal soon.

If a student will be absent tomorrow or any school day following,

please send an email to attendance@nora-school.org before 9:00AM of the day absent.

Please be sure to prepare properly for our ALL SCHOOL HIKE on Friday.

  • Wear sneakers or hiking boots-absolutely NO flip flops. Our trail is rigorous and rocky and requires shoes that attach to your feet.

  • Bring water. It will be hot and beautiful

  • Sunscreen and a hat are recommended

  • Bring your confidence! And let us know if you need an accommodation. It’s more important to be with us than to push beyond your ability.

Students will be dismissed from school on our return from the trail which is usually around 1:00.

See more details below regarding our new faculty members, Covid protocols and kind messages from Marcia.

We look forward to a great week and a wonderful year.

Peace,

Mara
